Commercial Services

Since our 1985 origins, we’ve focused on cleaning and inspecting industrial sized sewer lines for municipalities – and boy are we good! Below is a list of services we offer within the commercial sector.

commercial_inspection

Mainline Sewer Inspection

We use state of the art camera equipment to help you understand the health of your underground infrastructure. If you have a pipe that’s underground and you need to see it, we’re the company to call! These services help you avoid backups, allocate pipe rehabilitation funds to the right location, and discover the source of sewer problems.

commercial_excavation

Hydro Excavating

Over the years we’ve received calls from customers to help with small hydro excavating jobs. For this reason, we now offer this service. Today underground pipes and wires are ubiquitous in nature and a mechanical dig is not only very dangerous, it’s often not allowed. Hydro excavating allows you to remove dirt without the risk of a mechanical digging device wrecking subsurface infrastructure.

commercial_cleaning

Sewer Line Cleaning

High pressure water jetting combined with vacuum operations are the most efficacious combination for cleaning sewer lines. Combining this service with sewer inspection services ensures you stay abreast of emerging infrastructure problems and stay ahead of deterioration. We use a Vactor Jet Rodder water pump – an exclusive single-piston hydraulically driven dual acting pump – to deliver a jackhammer action water flow that breaks through clogged lines and blockages thereby removing the toughest caked-on debris from pipe walls. Though the truck type itself is indeed important, just as important is the selection of jetter nozzle or cutting tool. We have an arrayment of the latest and most effective nozzles the industry has to offer thereby ensuring that you receive the highest quality cleaning services while minimizing risk to pipeline infrastructure during that cleaning effort.

commercial_liftstation

Lift Station Cleaning

Wet wells are the holding sump for gravity-flow sewer systems. As material enters the well and the water level rises, pumps are engaged and pump the sewage out to a forced main, or the sewage is lifted to a higher grade to continue the gravity flow to the outlet point. Solid material accumulates in the bottom of the wet well and incoming sewage lines. Lift stations are low points in gravity-flow sewer systems where incoming sewage is pumped from a well to a higher grade so it can continue the gravity flow to a treatment plant. As solid material enters the lift station, buildup will occur on the bottom of the sump and inlet pipes. Solid material can often plug and damage pumps, so periodic cleaning is required to remove the material from the lift station to help prevent damage to components.

commercial_manhole

Manhole Inspection

Sanitary sewer manholes can often be the largest contributor to a system’s I/I. In some cases data suggests up to 50% of a system’s total I/I can be credited to leaking manholes. Defects in manholes like defective brickwork, seals, joints, and covers are significant sources of inflow, and can also be indicators of possible structural weaknesses that may lead to failure. Our technicians can help identify these problems and direct those precious rehabilitation funds.

home-about-big

Large Diameter Pipe Cleaning

Whether using advanced jetting capacity, bypass pumping, or even a bucket system, Pipe Services can help clean those large diameter pipes. With all of modernity’s advanced technology, for those large high flow pipes, sometimes the good old bucket system is still the most effective method of cleaning. Whatever tools are required for this job, we have them.

commercial_draintile

Drain Tile

Subsurface drainage systems have revolutionized farmers’ ability to fully leverage their available land. Underwater fields provide little to no yield. Having a well-functioning drainage tile system is very important. Regular inspection of these systems is the only way to ensure adequate drainage will persist when you need it most. And, for your sake, if you’re considering replacing your drainage system, make sure to have us inspect it first. Inspecting the system and cleaning it is much more cost effective than replacing. And, if you ask a company that only replaces systems – doesn’t clean them, there’s a really good chance they will recommend that it be replaced. We are an unbiased third party that will give you visual data to help you understand the health of your system.

commercial_lateral

Lateral Service / Service Line Inspections

Whether you need to inspect a resident’s service line from the mainline using a lateral launch system or inspect the service line from the house using a push camera system (see residential side of the website), we can help. Often cities are looking to identify Infiltration and Intrusion (I/I) problems that exist in private service lines that extend to homeowner's residence without knocking on homeowner doors - we can help with that. In other cases, cities are looking to coordinate with homeowners to conduct push camera inspections of the service line and/or sump pump from the house, we can also do that. In either case, cities are increasingly realizing the quantity of I/I problems that stem from service laterals. We offer many options to help identify the source of that I/I.

commercial_restaurant

Restaurant Services

Grease traps are a regular part of restaurant operations. As a sewer inspector, we know firsthand what happens when a city identifies a restaurant is letting too much grease down their pipes. Don’t be the restaurant owner left with that bill. We’ve been on the emergency side of that call when it comes from the city. When a city has a back-up, they call us. When our camera identifies one line responsible for the grease build-up that has caused a sewer back-up it’s not a good day for that restaurant. It’s much better to have your grease traps serviced regularly and to have your drains inspected and cleaned regularly than to have to get that call from the city. Give us a call before the city calls you!
